Mike Rosa
February 21, 2026
Mike grew up in Southeastern Pennsylvania riding his bike to any valley that held even the slightest trickle of water in search of life. Fast forward to age 37 and you’ll find him doing the same thing. Only this time, pulling a raft to any river within reach with the same goal in mind.
Mike has been fishing since the age of 5 and his passion for fishing shows no signs of slowing down. Mike has honed his skills through years of floating rivers for smallmouth, brown trout and musky. He also loves bushwhacking and putting miles on the feet finding areas less traveled by your average fisherman to find fish who may have never seen a fly.
Schedule for February 21, 2026
Event Start Time - 10:00am
Q&A with fly tying demo afterwards
Free to everyone
Mike will be discussing the incredible fishery that is the Susquahanna River. His main topic will be smallmouth bass. However, Mike targets many other species in PA, including trout, musky and carp.
What Mike offers as an Eastern PA Guide
Mike and his guides have spent countless hours hiking and rowing the scenic river systems strewn across the vast expanse of their home state of Pennsylvania. The rivers they fish include the Susquehanna, Juniata, Schuylkill, Lehigh and many of their tributaries. Through trial and error, they have honed their skills and have gained a greater understanding of the fish that occupy these waters. Trout, smallmouth bass, musky and carp are the main focus as Mike believes they are insanely fun to target with a fly rod! Mike's guides are ready and willing to share their knowledge (and gear) and take you where the fish are and the rest is up to you!
Float Trips
Our float trips are second to none! We offer half day and full day floats. For this trip we will be floating some of PAs finest water in search of wild brown trout, smallmouth bass and musky. Your guides are skilled oarsmen with many hours on the sticks so you can rest assured that you will be safe and have an enjoyable day on the water. Floating gives you the opportunity to fish waters that many anglers do not have access to and in our humble opinion it gives you a better opportunity to dance with some serious fish! For a half-day float, we will provide snacks and water. For a full day float, we will drop anchor and jump to shore and prepare you a riverside lunch you won’t forget. If you decide to book a float trip we will send you an email questionnaire to create a trip to meet your specific needs and goals.
Wade Trips
Our wade trips are a blast! We offer full and half-day wade trips. For this trip, you will follow your guide as you hike streamside searching for fish using a variety of tactics including euro nymphing, indicator nymphing, dry fly fishing and streamer fishing. Which tactics you use really depend on the species and location you are fishing that day. Not only are wade trips rewarding but they are great exercise as well. Don’t worry your guide will have plenty of water and snacks in his pack in case you need a break. If you do a full day, your guide will prepare a delicious streamside lunch. If you decide to book a wade trip with us we will send you an email questionnaire for details on your specific trip so that we can suit all of your needs and nail down a plan for the day.
Multi-Day float/Camp
The day doesn’t have to end. For an additional fee we do an overnight package where we provide you with everything you need to set up camp, cook dinner/breakfast in the AM and another day of fishing! Contact Mike for details.
